When I was considering keeping chickens in my area, I always remember the skunk smell on the street that connect to my street.
Those little stinkers are pretty well adapted to semi-urban life.

Yes!

They let go of the stinky pheromone upon death, so you do not have to hit the stink gland.

Sometimes if you hit them just right (spine shot) they won't release their scent. Just don't count on it. Count on retching while taking care of the carcass.

Yes, swerve..not too hard, but try and miss them while driving. See a little black kitty walking along..with some white stripes on the back...brake, or swerve..carefully. The smell won't leave your car anytime too soon. Nope!
