The Old Folks Home

" you knew he was a snake when you rescued him." I should have that painted on my walls - I've had too many snakes in my life. Slow learner. Flying solo is so much better.

It's funny - there was this guy that I dated in college (eons ago, back in the stone age). Shortly after we started going out together, I had a dream about a snake. I told a friend about it. She had dated this guy the year before, and her reaction was, "yeah, he's a snake, and I got bitten." I thought that a little harsh, he didn't seem that bad. We were together for all of a semester, then he started doing things that looked like we were headed for a breakup. I was feeling a little upset about it, then one night, I dreamed about a snake again. I woke up thinking, "see, you knew he was a snake when you met him. Get over it!"

I'm sorry but, that ungrateful snake (even if it is an imposter) should have been fed several golf balls, to weigh him down and then thrown off a bridge. Yes, that's vindictive but, he killed a broody momma and a chick - no clemency for him.

If you say so Oz but, only if several chickens participate and tear him limb from limb in many directions at once. I guess I would settle for that.

Actually when saying he should be tossed off a bridge, I imagined a croc or alligator waiting open mouthed to catch him. Just a daydream - as long as it isn't acted out I'm okay - right???
