Morning discussion with Karin over breakfast: "Oh, someone on BYC had made honey." "No." "It looked pretty nice." "No." "Didn't even seem that difficult." "No. You are not getting bees."

Saw you coming, did she?
I was referribg to the ethanol in the mead recipe that you said sounded like it was cooked ip by a frat. In other words, I was trying to be funny. I've noticed that my jokes often require explaining. Perhaps I'm just trying too hard.

Yeah, she did. Miles away.
So Vehve is a guy? Married to Karin?

Drove to pick up Silver Campines this past weekend. I took eight, and came back with seven. I am as happy as I can be with the birds I picked up and I hope she is as happy with her's. I found my room mate for The Nationals.... Columbus, here I come!

The investigation is incomplete. It was the worst night of violence in modern St. Louis history. A police officer shot and killed an unarmed 18yr. old in the middle of the day. The initial report was that two teens were walking down the middle of the street in their apartment complex. The officer told them to get to the side of the road and then it's murky from there on. Since Saturday afternoon that description of events hasn't been reported.
The city of Ferguson has turned over the investigation to St. Louis County police.
The FBI and US justice department have arrived to oversee the investigation.
The violence last night lasted 5 hours. I can literally walk to some of the places where it occurred.

St. Louis is unique in that we have 91 incorporated municipalities in St. Louis county which is a separate entity from the city of St. Louis. You can drive down a street and unless you notice the sign, you'll have passed through as many as 10 cities without the sense of a break in the urban or suburban environment. Some of the city's limits include some semi rural or even rural areas.

The pictures were taken at Stewart Falls. This is basically just around the corner from Bridal Falls. It is past Sundance. It is a very popular hike.
I love that area. It's a long way from here but I've been there several times.
I've skied at Sundance on at least 3 different trips. My son and I spent his winter school break at a B&B. Actually it was the freshly finished basement apartment of a 3 story log cabin. Owned by the granddaughter of a Hollywood type and her Brit husband. They invited us up one night to visit with them and another family. They really liked my son and were intrigued by his high school curriculum which included Chinese and astrophysics among other tough courses. The father of that family was the president of PBS and the MC of the Sundance Film Festival. The festival was starting a couple days after we were to return home. They invited my son to stay with them through the festival. I didn't think his school would appreciate that he played hooky for the first 10 days of the second semester to hang out at the film festival. It also would have cost a bunch to change his flight. Their son was also a couple years younger and my son found him a little annoying.

Thats a matrimonial comprimise
Ain't that the truth. I get a lot of those.

Yes to the first part, no to the second. We have been living in sin close to ten years now.

The really bad thing is that it may have been a white cop and a black teenager. If this is true the mayhem will go on and on. I sure hope it isn't, for everyone's sake! : (
