The Old Folks Home

My remaining rooster is limping too. The foot he's favoring seems to be a bit swollen. I'm going out now to pluck him off the roost and cage him with a comfy floor. I'll look him over when the sun's fully up to see what I have to do. Hopefully if it's the start of bumblefoot, I'll catch it in time.
I've got a rooster limping today. I found him stuck upside down behind a set of cubbies that I turned into nesting boxes. They are plastic with cut out holes in them and I saw something dark in the corner behind it and wondered what it was. I don't have any idea how long he was there, one night and day or longer but he is walking with a limp and sometimes crosses his feet and stumbles, kind of lands on his head and throws his wings out for balance. Oh, I forgot, he seemed very happy to see me. LOL This is one of my mixed breeds and they are not too friendly.

Nothing to be ashamed about! I was married 18 months, including the divorce paperwork/waiting.
I learned a lot about what I wanted in a mate/didn't want in a mate in the short time I was married. For some reason the actually being married part made some behaviors intolerable.

It is interesting too, some bad stuff doesn't come out until after a wedding. Doesn't matter if you live together first.

Me though, I am a great poster child for an unhappy marriage, :tongue and no, I wasn't all that young, and it wasn't rushed. I just had the totally wrong opinions about what I wanted and needed in a mate.

I was 2 weeks away from 25, dating him for years, highly educated and yet a total idiot.

Are you still unhappily married?

I don't know what it was about me but my boyfriends had a tendency to ask me to marry them after dating a week. When my husband asked me, I said yes but we waited a year to get married. I wanted to get married on the day he asked me but I didn't realize that most churches won't marry you unless you take a class through them. We got married 3 days late at a JP and I still wish it had been a church wedding. We have been together for 38 years. We were lucky. We met at a bar and have been together since that night.

My DH proposed after 3ish weeks 9 years later we got married... Lol

It is in Canada. I the US, those countries are on the import restricted list. The only way we could get them would be to send them to Canada and then to the United Sates.

Well if you want something re-routed you can use my address ;)
Lol

Thanks for the "how to cobble together a perch" hints.

I actually got it completely finished yesterday!!!!!

So happy, I think that I should get a parade, and then a fancy "open coop" party (with other people doing all of the work

I wanted to invite my sons over, 3 away from home, and have like a barn raising. Pretty much get it done in one day but when it comes to helping mom and dad they always have something else to do or only one of them can come at a time. My husband and I are doing it ourselves and I just pray and pray that it will last until I can do something better because my husband is no carpenter. LOL
