The Old Folks Home

Golly, it's a wonder anyone learned to read with those tedious Dick & Jane books. I didn't like kids books, I used to read what my sister brought home from the library (she is 4.5 yrs.) older than me. My dad got a lot of magazines, so I was leading Life, and Look, and Reader's Digest, and I think it was called "something Mechanics" or like that - it had a DIU cartoon that was wordless, just pictures - I really liked that. Must have been the start of Ikea or Dania instructions.

Thought I'd add my story - when I was in elementary school I begged my mom to participate in the stamp program at the local grocers to buy some mini World Book encyclopedia set that was offered. My mom was a bit skeptical but she did it and I read them.
I also still have my Childcraft books (not the same as the encyclopedia set) because I loved them so much as a kid. I remember taking them all over the place.

Or you could just do lemon juice and honey..... and hot tea

Get some Bigelow Lemon Lift tea - it comes in both decaf and regular. Don't go generic - only the Bigelow brand is really yummy. I add a bit of honey to that when I'm sick and absolutely love it.

Happy Halloween!

I usually do lemon juice honey and like a tablespoon of cayenne pepper but I'm not up to it right now...
Two drops of oregano oil(edible not for aroma therapy) under the tongue two or three times a day.

Yes, the sooner you start it the better it works. It helps with virus and bacteria. It also clears your nose very quickly.

Another young Campine gone today. None of the traps were touched, the coop was locked up, and it still got in and killed a bird. I feel certain that it must be a young coon that can squeeze in through the 2x4 wire on the outside of the coop. I have gone over the entire exterior and there are no holes or gaps any bigger than that. I can't cover the entire outside with hardware cloth or other wire right now, I don't have the money. I am mulling over options. I am thinking of covering the outside with bird netting, waiting until it tears a hole in that, then setting a large rat trap under that hole. I am also thinking of chaining my big lab out by the coop to see if that will help. It would only be temporary, unless he killed whatever it is. I am getting really frustrated with this varmint. I will get it, one way or the other.
