The Old Folks Home

I think the magic line to be typhoon/hurricane free is six degrees.

the perfect place to live in my mind are the mountains ot Bali.

6 degrees of separation. Mine too!
Stay safe Oz!

Let's go Missouri !!! Roll OVER Tide

Good luck!

Bali sounds wonderful. Haven't been there. But I have to agree wholeheartedly. If someone wants the perfect climate, it's up in the mountains in the tropics.
The best place I've found for year round weather is the side of volcanos in Costa Rica. Just cool enough at night to need a light blanket or a fire in the fireplace. Warm enough during the day to enjoy a refreshing dip in the river. Also, out of the line of most hurricanes. Panama and Nicaragua are similar but their political calm is very recent. CR hasn't had an army since 1948 and the money goes to social services.

I wasn't going to bring it up, especially with all the bama people here.

I wasn't either.

Roll tide roll!!!!

Yep the Tide is rolling!

@idiotswife Welcome to The OldYoung Folks Home. ;)

thank u all for the warm welcome! yes sometimes my idiot husband runs around in speedos. I don't mind it keeps the gnats off my chickens

Strange times here, strange times. We have a new member to our flock. Her name is Ms. Clucker Doodle, a.k.a, "Clucky." So far, she hasn't laid any eggs, but then, she hasn't eaten anything, either. Don't know whether I should be worried or not.

She's made herself right at home;

In a way vaguely familiar, Clucky keeps turning up in different places . . . . .

(the cat has never seen chickens in the house before - I think it wants to see if it's edible)

Perhaps looking for a night-time roost?

I thought maybe she thought this looked like a nest but when she left - nope, no egg.

When she "borrowed" my DS's computer, he declared his room off-limits to chickens.

BB2K and I were in the first of three local parades last night, and Clucky went too (I'm sure Syd was very happy not to be included this year). Evidently Clucky enjoyed herself - here she is, ready to go again. The next parade isn't until tomorrow night, but (birdbrain that she is), Clucky evidently got mixed up on the dates.
