Anyone still..diet diet? Got tired of counting calories..but this could work I suppose..

I remember that my mother would tack a piece of yarn over the cased openings in the house and hang the Christmas cards that were "landscape" oriented on them, the "portrait" ones would stand by themselves on the window sills.

I think a 2015 Old Ladies of the BYC Calendar is a great idea! I think they would sell.

I'm upset with myself. I checked the 10 day weather forecast yesterday, and it said tonight's low was going to be 52. I checked when I got back from the coop, which I did not put the tarp on the front side, and it said it would get down to 38 tonight. I checked a little bit ago, and it said 32. My daughter called to tell me they are now saying on the news it will be lower than 30. I would have closed the front side in, if I had known. By the time I found out, it was too late for me to go back, and do it. I am praying my chickens don't freeze.

Oh they will ok I think... Mine just went through -30C... Everyone is fine ( Little frostbite on the buff Orpington Roos comb but that's it) it was the humidity not the cold that got him...

yep mine are hanging out in 0-teens and under and doing great. A bit of frostbite on the single combs, but otherwise they are rockin. Even laying more eggs than before.
hennible is right watch the humidity.

ETA: the dog I just brought inside is a different story. Oh man, she reeks. ewww.

Alaskan would say never let the humidity be higher in the coop then it is outside

I think the Old Women folks could sell a ton of calendars for BYC. Anyone who participates will buy them up so nobody else can see them. I don't know that Robb would sanction it.

Maybe just offer them on the black market or Dollar Tree.

The top is open, and the front side is open. The other 3 sides are closed. I guess they can snuggle, and there is plenty of hay in there.
