Been working on a small table runner for a friend's mom. Trying my hand at some applique work and I am really happy with the results so far. I want to work out some kinks before I do a landscape quilt after these.
I've always had secret ice cream stashes - Used to put the cartons behind the veggies they were safe there. Also behind the ice cube holder. Nobody used ice cubes but me. Or put them in empty bread wrappers, etc. Wasn't too hard because it seems that men just look right in front of them - no see -they're done! They really looked bewildered when they'd catch me later scarfing down on some.
My dad used to hide stuff too but, women could always find it. I asked him what happened to the cereal. I got the usual "How the he err heaven would I know?" Just listened a while and heard crunching coming from the living room. I rushed in and said "AH HA!" as he was dropping the box behind the couch. He always left cereal crumbs all over the place. When he ate grapes, he'd leave the stems in cute little piles - just inches from the waste can - but, never throw them away. I guess that was another job for women.
