The Old Folks Home

TNTCHIX, that was reason 1 million and 1 to get rid of your cats. People fret about pit bulls and other breeds, while cats have been mutilating people for years and it stays behind closed doors. No matter how docile they appear sooner or later the revert to wild beasts. It's inherent - they can be the best fed cat and still want to hunt , kill, and eat. While some breeders can take great hunting breeds and breed all the birdiness out of them, while making them flashier, etc. in a few generations.

I had a friend with seizure disorder, she had a seizure and didn't know how long she had been out. She came to when her cat was biting her viciously. I don't think it was a feline CPR or anything remotely medical.

My sister has a totally psycho cat. It's named EZ because they found it in the easement. Anyway, it just plain out attacks everybody, even the nice people that gave it a home. But it's the manner of attack. It'll just be sitting there and then WHAMO. If you're within 4 feet of it when the mood strikes you get slammed. It makes the after-cat in Pet Semetery look like a sainted being. I think being homeless loosened the wiring a bit.

We used to have a cat like that. He was a black persian cat.

He went to live with another family.(thank goodness....)

The cat actually belongs to my nephew who is away at college. He lives in a house. It has been suggested that maybe EZ would like a change of scenery and move to Texas. Nephew's defense is that the house already has a cat. Sister is, therefor, stuck with the demon feline. But nephew is a music major, so I'm pretty sure he'll be moving home after classes are over.

Q: What do you call a musician without a girlfriend?
A: Homeless.

Perchie girl, you are definitely making me hungry for seafood! I like to can also, but never get the luxury of canning fresh seafood.

I grow a big garden in the spring and can a lot of peppers, tomatoes and whatever I have to can. I imagine I'm going to either keep my chickens penned up or put a fence around my garden. I couldn't hardly keep them out of the tomatoes. The say chickens don't like tomatoes, I think I read that. That doesn't apply to mine. That is one thing they love. I lost lots of tomatoes to them. They like to eat the leaves off my chile pepper plants too.
Evidently you are a night owl too. I was crocheting and finished a project and decided to get on BYC. Lots of cute things on this thread. I saw pictures of chickens in sweaters. I made chicken sweaters too. My adult chicken I put one on tried to bite it off. She wanted none of that. I also made one for my Sebright. I wish I had put it on her sooner. Nice chatting with you.
