Bunny, yeah I just read about that. Apparently the snake plants also clean the air pretty well, I wonder if I should divide this thing into a million pots.

What breed?
I have only raised one foal... bred my Standardbred Riding mare to a very lovely Arab stallion that had a nice athletic build. By the time the foal was about three maybe four months we were doing trail rides with him on a long lead and momma to keep him in tow.
You are right fixing others training mistakes can be a nightmare and darned dangerous.

If I ever get a horse I want a American Mammoth Jack (Lol!), George Washington and Thomas Jefferson bred them.
Unfortunate. Perhaps a better option that some people think the solution to too many wild horse on public land should be.All the horsy talk made me so nostalgic. I miss my horses. I still dream of owning a proper amount of acreage to rescue some of the poor animals that are rounded up every year off the government land and sold at auction and just be able to let them finish their lives they way they started. They hold one of those wild horse auctions every few years a couple hours south of here. Sadly, many of them wind up "working" on the boy scout camps and "resorts" scattered thru the northwoods. Yeah, I know, that's not supposed to happen to them, you sign a purchase contract, but they don't do a very good job of tracking the animals and everyone knows it.
I imagine it is. . . .. but is not on the 10,001 foods to try before I die. lolI hear horse meat is delicious

x2 No cure.![]()
Knowing the worst of the worst almost kept me from having my own kids. . . . fortunately the years of managing mares and ewes gave me more knowledge than most to have a healthy babies. At one point, I flirted with a dream about breeding miniature horses . . . .
Then I joined Marestare.![]()
A breeding season or two of watching foalings go horribly wrong could knock the stars out of anybody's eyes. The very first mare I watched, a QH mare named Grace, died of a displacement colic a week or so after foaling. Of course, most of the mares had no problems at all; some are available for watching year after year. But minis are particularly prone to complications, and the market being what it is, there's no guarantee that the foal would even be worth the cost of getting it on the ground, safe and healthy.
I've seen some amazing operations from the calm and quiet of my living room, watched some nail-biters; some turned out to be tragedies but there were a few miracles, too. My hat's off to those who have done it; though I might like to work at a stud farm, I wouldn't want to be the one taking those risks!

Mammoth donkeys are special.... donkeys in general are special and take different training than horses do. A Jack is an intact male and a Jenny is a female.
just an FYI...
