The Old Folks Home

@Arielle
First, a few preliminaries. Is your mouse battery-operated? Have you changed the battery lately?

To clean your disk -- I'll assume you're on Windows 7 -- you'll need to click on the start button. If the disk cleanup icon is not readily visible in the column of icons (it's usually at the top) that appears, then go click on All Programs. There should be something there labeled Maintenance. In there is a disk cleanup or repair disk to click.

Usually there's something in that Start menu that will assist you. Worse comes to worst, click the Start icon and go to Help and Support on the far right bottom.

Don't know if that will help or not, but anything's worth a try.

Ok computer issues...

iNternet connection lost
Mouse stops running....

I had these issues some time back.

Video card... Not a cheap one btw.

But that was the beginning of cascade failure... I was resusitating my computer with online software keeping the whole thing clean of links and bits of software....

I had a new one built. Much easier... I didnt even ask to have anything reinstalled... I wanted a clean slate with the latest Windows 7... NOPe not going to 8 ... dont need touch screen access here. The software I do have works fine on 7. Matter of fact its almost impossible to get a computer off the shelf with Windows 7 loaded on it.

the point is get exactly what you want for the amount that you can pay. It will last you longer and you will be happier. Once you get your new computer STOP shopping because the technology is running at light speed... we will never have the latest and greatest.

I'm hoping that my win7 laptop lasts until win10 is out and has the worst kinks worked out. Not a fan of win 8.1 either, although the ms surface pro 3 is a pretty handy little thing.
