The Old Folks Home

oh and garage #2 called today to tell me SURPRISE IT REALLY IS YOUR TRANSMISSION NOT YOUR CLUTCH AND IT IS UNDER WARRANTY. The only thing I will actually have to pay for is the parts to replace the clutch, because you should replace it the same time you do the transmission and because of the warranty on the tranny I won't have to pay for the clutch labor.

garage #1 will be getting some homemade pies brought in next week since they went to bat so hard for me yesterday causing garage #2 to stop lying.

Quote: Alaskan your so funny! I am trying to figure out how to fix my leg and arm muscles. I have severe muscle atrophy from being malnourished when I was in the hospital. I am having a lot of trouble trying to get back the use I had before I went into the hospital. Half my muscle in my left leg is dead and my arms are still so bad. I have a jump rope thing I keep trying to use but it does not feel like it is working. I just get frustrated sometimes at not being able to do everything I used to do.

Can you get a referral to physical therapy? Even going once can help--They should give you exercises and stretches to do at home.

Quote: My Ins. Blue Cross paid for a physical therapist and a home nurse after I came home. But they only came till I could walk on my own. Then they quit coming. I used up all the Ins. they would let me have for my illness. They expected me to come home and die. And I aint giving up!

Thanks Puddin. My Dr. told me to give him a year. And it has been a year and a half. lol But I do try to get as much as I can done. And when I am give out I go to bed. lol

I crushed my sciatic nerve in 2007--the muscles and nerves are still growing back. It is frustrating to have atrophy and paralysis for so long but the peripheral nerves, as opposed to spinal nerves, will keep recovering until they are completely recovered--It can take a long though for the sciatic nerve--it is the longest nerve in your body and the recovery slows down the farther it goes.

I am starting to feel my big toe again! (better watch what I kick....)
