Cyn, yeah, at least one black and white one flashes in the second video. There are at least 5 kits, but there might as well be 12 of them, can't say for sure. Hilma stayed crouched above the entrance for a total of about 7-8 minutes I think, you can feed many hungry mouths in that time. I agree, the runt looks pretty quick on it's feet. We just rigged the trail cam for an evening viewing again, we'll see what we catch on tape this time.

One thing I find strange is that there are four pure black babies, Hilma is brown, and the buck (Raimo) is white with black spots like the one that only shows itself briefly.

Do you really, really want to know what's going on there? I could tell you, but I think bambam would blam! - blam! at the ol' Bun - bun . . . . . and the rest of the old folks would fall into a mind-numbed trance . . . . .

Bunny, if you want, you can PM me your thoughts if you don't want to confuse the geriatrics. I'm assuming the black to be quite dominant though. I have no idea of what color genes our bunnies might have, as both parents are pretty much mutts. Hilma has French lop, Flemish giant and NZ red in her, that's pretty much all I know. I know next to nothing about rabbit breeds though, or what colors those breeds may come in. Raimo is maybe part Giant Papillon and some French lop, and some Wiener. He looks like a black and white Giant Papillon though.

Cynthia he has turned out to be a great pet. He is a bit skittish around new people/things but once he gets to "know" you it's all about the belly rubs. I took all three dogs to the groomer on Sunday and the lady mentioned that Sid will just plop down in front of you. He will throw himself at your feet and roll over to get a belly rub. He is a lover not a fighter

He is also a trip hazard if you aren't watching out for him

I also got my Golden to a place last weekend. I am still working on getting that undercoat out of her. It usually takes a few days. Such a good dog. She loves to run...for the ball, she was running back at me because she couldn't find it.
Your boy sounds like one other one of ours, skittish at first until he knows you. Goldens on the other hand, want the attention right away. This is Missy.

Oh, speaking of dogs. After four years, Karin has finally given up on getting her relationship with our younger lab to work properly, and has softened up to the thought of letting me try to work with her and maybe start competing in trials instead of her. So today, for pretty much the first time, I was allowed to direct Kiusa properly. I think I did pretty decently, I have a lot to learn, but we managed to do some 100 yard line fetching over a creek. Kiusa's and Karin's personalities just don't match that well, under pressure Karin gets annoyed and Kiusa reacts strongly to it.

Cyn, the furminator has sharpened blades on it, it really removes the bottom stuff efficiently. If you can pick one up cheaply, I recommend it warmly. You'll take care of that coat in 20 minutes with it. Check out videos on youtube.
