The Old Folks Home

Color me tired! Up at 4:45 to leave at 5:15 and drive 2.5 hours yesterday to attend a field trial. Ran 3 dogs in 3 classes for a total of six entries. Hot, humid, hilly - enough to tucker an old man out - heck, enough to tucker a young man out. Dogs did well: Speak Easy two thirds, War Eagle a first and fifth, Dunkin D a second and fifth. Speak Easy had to run a total of 7 times for those two thirds. Allowed the dogs to cool down and started for home at 5:30 getting here at 8. Up this morning and training dogs by 7 - is there something wrong with me?

Princess says so.

Princess may be on to something... But if it's still fun for you, and something you love to do

Caught a baby bandit last night boy that suckered screamed. Not the mama I wanted though. They are darn cute when they are little. So he will get severely relocated he is maybe 3 months old. No point in cutting his life short for stupidity. As far as my eggs :) penny and my Americana girls lay my blues and greens, I color matched the egg penny herself lays to paint my kitchen. Beautiful and I get alot of people who praise it. To bad they don't know it's chicken egg blue. The darker ones are from some mix of rirs and productions, the lighter ones from my ees and orpies.

Got my sweet potatoe planted for a house vine so I won't have to buy starts, the highlight of yesterday though. That was going to my mri and falling asleep in the mri.they are still mystified at how I could sleep through it. Just to clarify if people were curious and I don't remember if I said it before. I have relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis.

There's something wrong with all of us, but as latestarter said, if it makes you happy...

I have a good friend who collects old sewing machines... she owns like 20+ at the moment. She has asked me to make display boxes to set them in for the ones who either don't/didn't have the boxes, or the boxes were to dilapidated to use. http://www.theprojectlady.blogspot.com/2013/03/singer-sewing-machine-wood-base-tutorial.html

The problem is, she has like 15 or so that need boxes, and it seems each one is just a slight bit different size

Most don't have the mounting hardware, or if they do, it's in pretty bad shape. She also has/collects the treadle machines and owns several. I don't know what years they are but most if not all of the machines she owns, work, and she uses them (but has favorites). The one she uses the most right now is an early 1900's singer machine that is very small and has a foot pedal to make it run.

Going to the dogs, maybe?:p

Congrats sour - sounds like you have pups to be proud of!

98 roasting degrees out there . . . . melt and run into your shoes time.

It's a cool 72 degrees here over cast and breezy. Thinking I should finally get off my bum from my break and get the custard started for peach frozen custard.. I have some cracked but fine eggs to use up.. hair line cracks nothing wrong with membrane. Hope it turns out yummy I'm using canned peaches

Sour I don't think you are nuts at all for finding something you love to do and are obviously good at. I wish you'd tell us what the field trial Beagles have to do. Do they actually have to catch a rabbit or run it till it drops so the owner can shoot it? Excuse my ignorance, I know a bit about setter field trials but, they point.
