The Old Folks Home

What, exactly, was sung? Why in a store?

The only store-singing scenario I've seen was when I worked at a pharmacy in Baltimore. The pharmacists there had to work every other weekend. One of the pharmacists was very religious and was distraught when he missed church... so after church services 10 or so people would come into the store, go to the pharmacy and sing some hymns for the staff (and most sang along). As crappy as that neighborhood was, the sense of community was great. The customers waiting would often get in on it, too.

They live down the road from me.

Pictures?

How many Southern churches have you sung in, Ron? Trust me, it don't necessarily follow. I've even sung in choirs with folks that you'd never, ever want to hear sing a solo.

But of course, if Alaskan wants to give us a demonstration, and let us judge for ourselves . . . .
