Quote: Hi Elaine and welcome to the OFH!

Final plumbing update:
1. Installed the outlet box, new plug, & outlet cover. Energized circuit;no issues.

2. Installed new plug wire to new dishwasher & plugged into new outlet.

3. Attached water supply hose, turned water on w/new in-line valve; no leaks.

4. Attached waste water line to garbage disposal, wire tied drain line to high point under sink to create air pocket in line.
smile.png

5. Leveled unit front to back and side to side.

6. TRIED to push dishwasher under counter to find; it wasn't "deep" enough for unit to go fully under the counter top!

Now I know why it was direct wired into the wall and not into an outlet... The plug blocks the unit from sliding all the way into the cavity. To fit, the unit has to be right up against the back wall. So, I removed the outlet cover, unscrewed the outlet from the box and pulled all the spare wire out through the box so the outlet would hang down by the floor, re-plugged the unit in and tried again...
SUCCESS!

I was able to get it far enough in to screw the hold mounts into the counter top edge to keep it from flipping over when the door is opened. Plumbing issues all resolved

Running initial load now and no power or water issues so "WHEW!" done!

Thanks all for listening (reading), and for providing moral support and commiserations during this evolution!
