The Old Folks Home

Bunny I am guessing that the "rumors" about the pig giving birth on the race track are completely false. Pretty sure anyone who has been in labor or has seen an animal in labor knows something is "wrong" and wouldn't dream of putting that animal in a race.

Deb keep it up! Great job so far. My niece is also doing this challenge that you are doing. I forget where she is on her word count but she is plowing through too. Cheering both of you on!
SCG sent me my own small bulb bomb package last week and I went out last weekend and picked up a few more to bomb a few different places. So far I got the cemetery and original jail in our small town, the 4-H garden in the next town over, right in front of the gun club sign and a few other random spots. It was a blast doing it. I had the whole story set in my mind if anyone asked me what I was doing but no one stopped and asked. I figured if I looked like I should be doing exactly what I was doing no one was going to stop and I was right.
I finished up some Christmas wall hangings this morning before we headed out the door. I will be sending those off this weekend if I have enough mailing envelopes. I am hoping to get the wall hanging for my MIL done this weekend too and start on BIL's Christmas gift. Lots of projects going on right now in the rush before the holidays

I am not very experienced in all the quilting methods so please overlook my ignorance when I ask how did you do the circles for that quilt?
Do you have one of those die cutters or what?

dsqard I do love those pretty quilts wall hangers.

Chicka I ironed on the fusible backing on the wrong side of the fabric and then traced circles onto the paper. Then I cut them out, pulled the paper backing off and then ironed them into place. I used a zig zag stitch once they were ironed down to keep them in place. If you would like the pattern, I can IM you the link to the instructions.
ETA - the template for the circles, the tree stump and the bow are all in the pattern instructions

They are. One of the pigs that had previously been a participant in the pig races gave birth, but definitely not on the track.

Loving the wall hangings. Looks like you found some really fun fabrics for those - there are so many lovely Christmas themed ones, how do you chose? I'd never get out of the store!

Bunny there is no such thing as a short stop into the fabric store for me

Actually Wal-Mart has a bunch of Christmas themed fabric for around $5 a yard and I got a bunch of half yards to do the circles. Our Wal-Mart has a fairly decent fabric section. I also frequent the JoAnn in town and I order a lot on line too. Going to the post office is way more fun now that I get more than bills in the box!
