As I am on Weight Watchers I am constantly considering Other means to achieve the same goal.
Chicken stock is pretty much unlimited on the plan so are mushrooms. and veggies.
Crimini mushrooms steam sauted with only enough fat for seasoning. either butter or olive oil.
Add in onions and garlic till is smells good. Then chicken stock. You could also take some mushrooms and grind them to a powder in the blender and put them in till its very fine particles and chunks in the stock.
Then use that for the gravy base and add in Chunks of chicken. I would use just a little half and half or full on cream to make it creamy.
It would cost me only the cream and the chicken in points.
