Good idea to freeze it. I keep many items frozen: lamb replacer ( dried milk), bran, breads. WHy not starter. Just remember to bring it out on a DRY, not humid day; otherwise moisture collects on the bag.

THe cold bag will love the moisture to condense on it. Can't get it into the grain. Will spoil asap.
My grain guy pushes to keep grain only 2 weeks once it is milled; last summer I talked to a long time BUckeye breeder and he buys by the silo and uses it over several month.![]()
Do you think the meds will keep their effectiveness if they are frozen? I know that they have a shelf life anyway, but would freezing extend the shelf life of the meds or would it lose it's potency because it was frozen? SCG?
