Everyone watching the game? It's been shown on tv here the past few years, but we've always had US commentators from the game feed, this year it's being commentated in Finnish, super annoying to watch. Also, I'd like to watch the US stream, because I'd get the commercials then too. Finnish companies don't seem to be too interested in buying spots for a game being shown at 2 in the morning, so they only show commercials between the quarters, and even then I'm still missing the actual Super Bowl commercials.

Surprising start to the game, I was expecting Carolina to take the lead. Cam seems to be a bit nervous.

What game? Unlike Beer can, I am retired and don't have to feign interest.

I haven't been off of BYC long enough to be missed... Have I? Is four hours away too long?

I am frigging cold.

Fire went out...

I told eldest to relight it....


He tried, so opened a couple of windows to get a nice cross breeze so that the smell of lighter fluid would blow out of the house.

He kept the windows open for maybe two hours.

The fire did not stay lit.

I am starting to think that spending the money on a new stove would be money well spent.

I find these most useful:

I don't know what is in them, probably paraffin and wood shavings. Substantially better than lighter fluid.

So, last month... Boy #3 asked if I thought going to church with seven knives was maybe too much. I said yeah.... One knife is OK in church not seven, especially since three were big belt knives.



Reminds me of last night....

It was time to go to church... I told the the kids to get ready.... I asked #5 if he was going to wear his new scarf... He said yep. He wore the scarf to church... But no shoes... Just ran fast through all of the snow.

Child #2 did wear shoes to church, got to church, took off his shoes... Saw that I was walking down the path towards church, and ran out to great me, barefoot.

So... Tracks of two kids in the snow.

Actually, being a bit of a tracker, it looks like the prints of three kids unless one has a sizeable difference in foot size. What happened to their arches?

My new Ducky keyboard arrived today. I LOVE IT. The key switches are fantastic. Dh prefers a bit more tactile response, so he would do better with the brown switches, but I'm so glad I got the red. The backlighting is amazing too.

Actually, there are large sized prints, and at the top the medium sized prints with one smallish print between them, hence you either have a three legged son, or there was a third (aged) bare foot involved in some way shape or manner.

Maybe I didn't get it before... I thought the backlit colors were the big thing, but you mention colored key switches and tactile response associated therewith... ?? What did I miss? What are the key switches and what do they do?
