I ordered my Rcom incubator today. Yay! From the way Dh acted, you would have thought they were demanding he pay with the little bit of fringe hair he has left on his balding head.

My DH bought me the exact cabinet incubator that I wanted for Christmas...... and boy, was he surprised! Hey, I figure if I have to shop for my own presents, I may as well get what I want, right?!

My chicks came yesterday only one died now I have 14!

Sorry you lost one. Was it DOA?? Here is another thread you might want to check out:

My girls are in high gear at the moment, I'm getting 9-12 every day and don't know what to do with all of them. I'm eating eggs for breakfast every day and much as I do like them, that is a bit much.

The package was from Amazon, being delivered to her front porch by her mailman. She free ranges her hens during the day. Her hens are friendly, and apparently thought he might have treats, so they flocked around him. No rooster was involved. Her mailman is afraid of chickens, so he put a note for both her, and Amazon.

Kinda wierd, most carriers have dog treats. If the carrier knows she has chickens that mob a vehicle when it comes in the driveway (possibly because the resident postal clerk has an apple core 5 days out of 6) s/he could get permission to carry a bit of BOSS. Fling that stuff left and right and you can walk right through the gap.

Yep!! Glad he was surprised. It is more fun when at least ONE person doesn't know what the gift is.

Our UPS/FedEx driver once complained to BF that the turkeys were swarming his truck when he'd pull in. They'd get in the back and on the hood.

He was not sad to pull in a week later and find that there were no more rogue turkeys.

I sold the pair of Bourbon Red turkeys I hatched, in the Cinco de Mayo hatchalong a few years ago, to retired school counselor. He said the tom was better than a watch dog. People would drive up, the tom would run, full-tilt run, up to the car. More often than not, the people would stay in the car until he came out to "rescue" them.

Heel low:

Like the service/seeing eye dog...the delivery boys jest need a decent dog to ride along swamping for them.
