Sonds bad..... Like bad choice... I have no idea what a better choice would be

As to my dad... A bunch of cow patties full of fly babies. Yeah, that describes it.

Not sure how this is gunno work...I am gunna have my mom call my dad's doctors on Monday, and see how difficult it would be to commit him.

might be too hard... He is smart enough to be able to fake it pretty well, but he has lost some important bits of common sense. Like today he walked out between parked cars, probably gave the guy backing up heart failure ... I told him he couldn't do that...he would get himself killed...he said he didn't care.....

Anyway, just one example... It goes on and on.... But he isn't clearly demented...dunno...we shall see what the doctors say.

I am also on Monday going to take my mom to the doctor to get a nasty looking mole removed. -sigh-. My baby sister said that she had tried to get my mom to go, but my mom is so overwhelmed taking care of my dad.... Anyway, I will take my mom by the hand on Monday, and get that mole cut off.

No way am I going to let my sweet Mama die of skin cancer when all we need to do is cut it off quick. And she should know... Her dad had skin cancer that was left too long.... Her spot is on the back of her neck, so she probably didn't realize how bad it looked.. And it is small enough that I didn't notice it until this evening, and I have been here for over a week..... Take home is that it is really small, so should be fine if I drag her in on Monday.

I am gaining weight like a balloon...sheesh, I wonder why.

I'm sorry this is a really tough situation. You may also want to call his insurance company and see if there's any home services that he may be eligible for and would work for the situation. I'm not sure exactly what's wrong with him so maybe home services won't work, but they may give your mom some time to herself so she can get other things done.

Hopefully this makes some sense. I didn't get to sleep until almost 0330 despite all the drugs, and I forced myself up at 0430 to do the biddies, then 0730 for good.

I don't know if anyone is interested buy Meyer is having a special on brown egg layers and roasters that are the same as cornishX.
I called and asked them.
Anyway's they are offering free shipping for the June 13th hatch. I am ordering some cornishX today from them 15 for 34.50. That's a deal compared to our grocery store that just went up on their prices on them!

Oh, I will have to look, happy with the 7 I got from them last June. Zorra is broody but the local feed store is ordering only once more this year and they are to come end of July. Too late for Zorra and too late for chicks, they won't even be ready to start laying until January and might skip the whole winter!

Sorry for the mix-up, I have been thinking about the comment for several days and didn't look back at it. I guess I was thinking about you, too.

Bruce....same question!

I often wake up at 3:30am with a headache, same as you, I thought it was sinus related because it runs in spells. Days at a time or sometimes weeks at a time, I will wake up with a headache and it takes a couple of hours to go away.

VERY much sounds like an apnea headache. Yes Joe, it will go away some time after you wake up with or without the Excedrin. No idea if people with apnea do any damage to their brains over the long term with the frequent lack of oxygen.

My wife noted the apnea symptoms at night when she wasn't sleeping well. If there is no one to notice if you often stop breathing at night, then "start" and begin breathing again, I suggest you see an ENT or if your insurance allows it without referral, see a "sleep doctor" for an overnight test (which the ENT would likely recommend). They hook you up to a bunch of electrodes and can see your heart rate, breathing, REM, etc on the graph in the morning.

If they find you have apnea they will start with the evil CPAP machine to see if the symptoms disappear. It forces air in so even if your passages are blocked, air gets through. Yours could be sinus related, especially if you aren't a mouth breather though I would think that your sleeping brain would decide to have you breath through your mouth if your nose is stopped up. But ... some people have throat blockage from tonsils, tongue, neck fat, etc so maybe mouth breathing isn't possible. That throat blockage is why the oral device works, it pulls your lower jaw forward and opens your throat. The surgery approach usually includes tonsil and uvula removal to try and reduce physical blockage. Of course if it doesn't work, they can't put your parts back. Another surgical approach (after that doesn't work) is to break your lower jaw and reposition it forward (doing the same thing the dental device does, only permanently). Of course if you don't have an overbite, I don't think this would be a great thing, ending up with your lower teeth forward of the uppers 24x7 FOREVER.

I did NOT know Goat milk could be separated.... Goat Butter?
Omg Yes

You can get an app for your smart phone or tablet--look for a snore recorder. It will record sounds when you sleep and analyze them to see if they sound line sleep apnea.

Cow butter from the store has yellow dye added to it.

Bummer, 15 chick minimum order for the free shipping from Meyer. That isn't unreasonable but I don't need 15 more, I was thinking 4.

Great tip on the app Ron. WAY cheaper than a visit to the doctor, at least for those who have smartphones or tablets

ETA: hmmm, our cow butter from Cabot says cream and natural flavoring, nothing about color. No idea why they need to add flavoring.

Darn SCG... That sucks! Instead of forcing yourself up an hour after you finally went to sleep, why not just get up an hour earlier than your "for good" time and feed the girls then? I doubt they are in any danger of starving over the extra 2 hours and the benefit to you would be huge. It's not much in the big scheme of things, but I do know how much better 3 hours of sleep is compared to one

Even with the window fan blowing in 60 degree outside air last night, I didn't sleep well... Tossed and turned and night sweats. Oh no... maybe male man-o-pause? Then my older girlie dog decided she needed out early so here I sit when I'd normally be morning dozing still. Myself and the 2 dogs have had a good breakfast of bacon and over light fried eggs (in the bacon fat of course). They like those two items as much as I do

Almost 8:30 here and I hear my roosters out there singing up a storm. I'll head out and feed all of them shortly. They aren't getting bacon and eggs... just FF. And they aren't in any danger of starvation either.

and just as an aside, how bout throwing in some steamed (or fried - like them too) clams! Not those "clam strips" (pieces of skate or shark) but the real deal! Dang... I need to do a New England road trip again... been years. I sure miss the Maine coast. Loved my time there.

<sigh> Gonna be up over 90 again today... guess I better start getting the house closed up. Supposed to cool back down over the next few days to a week.

If you order through my pet chicken or the other one you can order 3-4 but you have to pay the shipping.

The butter I get from Costco does not have colorant in it either. It is great to see that it is not added as much anymore.
