... I'll be candling my TWO INCUBATORS FULL OF EGGS again on Sunday.
On shipped eggs from Arizona I've got 10/12 and 11/12 developing at a week in... eggs hand delivered from 10 miles down the road... 0/3 developing and didn't eat breakfast for a week and have 2/5 from my own flock developing.

My husband asked me how many chickens I plan to wind up with. I told him 40....I didn't explain chicken math to him, especially with the bantam project I'm mentally kicking around. I have 32 right now.....4 are bantam mixes so that means I can have 12 more bantams, right?

I hope he buys it. He's pretty smart though, especially when it comes to math.

32 is way under 40. Especially if you have birds that look alike. Those count as one bird. Unless they stand next to each other, then you're caught.

As far as the numbers go, "50" is my kinda scary number. I stopped doing my nightly chicken count when I got to 50. Makes it easier to coldly state with a clear conscious that I have less than 50 birds.

I could pass a lie detector test.

I am also not looking at fabric right now.
