The Old Folks Home

Getaclue, every man I know personally, would have carried on just like your husband. No matter what - men are always the victim in every scenario. In their minds I am sure, they really believe it.

Hope the doctors solve your issue, with the best possible outcome

Yep, be sure to call em Yoopers. Some local smart alec was talking to a guy from the UP in one of our local watering holes late on a Saturday night a lot of years ago and he kept referring to him as an "Upper". He thought it was funny, the guy (and his buddies) didn't. The ensuing bar fight is one that is still talked about around here.

Da Yoopers is also the name of a hilarious group of guys who recorded the infamous "Turdy Point Buck" song. Saw them perform at the state fair, etc.. I even have the red white and blue baseball cap from their patriotic "tour" when we went to see them perform at the "Pig in the Pines" . Yeppers, that's a real thing up here. Big deal BBQ ribs juried competition where the pros from all over come to compete. Great food as long as you can stay upwind of all the smokers! I wear it on the 4th of July because it matches my really cute patriotic blouse and one year some guy tried to talk me out of it when he saw I had all the autographs of the original members on the bill!

I know exactly how blessed I am to have the DH and best friend that I do.
I just feel sad that he seems to be the exception and not the rule tho I must admit I have met others just like him

The whole northern lights/UFO thing, I do remember once when I was a kid seeing the colors in the horizon during it changing colors, could be 'miss-remembering' it though, I was probably 12? Only just notice it's 'different' seeing it now, blueish, reddish, glow on the horizon, haven't really looked for it in yrs. Loved taking DD #2 out to see the big meteor showers, one time it was cold, DW was not happy taking her out with her asthma...dang, just let the kid see some shooting stars, we sat out back in a big open field pointed sky-word on a bank in our truck and watched tons of them, with the heat on...
Heard some stories growing up of possible UFO's seen by people I would not doubt..., doesn't anyone know they only visit in thunderstorms between lightning strikes? So they are not noticed?
One time when I moved back in with the parents....came home late hoping to just crash, two sheets to the wind, mom was on the porch, Oh my God! Look at that! she said. It kind of freaked me out, following the horizon, definitely wasn't a plane or star. Thinking back though looked a lot like the space station I watched with the kids that went straight up above us. Who knows
