I went through a period of getting frequent attacks of vertigo. I remember pushing a shopping cart through the parking lot, weaving like a drunk. At least holding on to the cart I could walk. It just came on me that fast. I was mainly concerned how others would view me.
Discovered if I didn't look up high, I could maneuver somewhat normally. The doctor told me about the crystals getting out of alignment.
He said when you discover what act gives you the vertigo, to keeping doing it until the dizziness abates.
For me, it is usually if I have to look upward ( occurs often I am very short). I tried it. I would anchor myself to the shopping cart and look up until it kind of normalized. It did seem to work. But, you continually find some thing else that triggers it. Like turning your head.
. When I have a bad attack, just getting out of bed is a trial.I have to grab onto furniture and make my way through the room. Sometimes it feels like I am walking UP a wall rather than the floor., or that the room is spinning.
I havent' had any attacks for quite a while ( jinxing myself now

) So wonder - was it medication, or did I jerk my head somehow and screw things up, or jump out of bed too fast (not likely). My mom had it often
