My son was born a redhead - not the freckled kind with orangey hair. He started losing his hair in high school. . Finished college, got a job many miles away & decided to shave his head. Took a lot of getting used to when he showed up at Xmas that year. I couldn't take my eyes off of his head. By the next year I was okay with it. Then the year after he surprised me with a trimmed red beard - I LOVE IT!! Hope he won't shave it off to spite me. I guess the same happened to Ron Howard. Of course he says the girls make fun of him because he has golden eyebrows and they almost disappear they are so light. If it was me I would have

those girls. You don't mess with a Mama Bear's kid

My grandmother (mom side) had a red headed sister. My mom's brother (black hair) had 3 kids 2 with black hair, one a redhead.(girl) One of his sons ended up with a redheaded son. The redheaded girl did not have redheads.

. It can drive you crazy. Just be happy with what you've got.

My mother's hair was red (gray now, of course). None of her kids were redheads; she sooo hoped that she'd get a redheaded grandkid. Sorry, Mom, it just didn't work out that way. BUT! Mom also has curly hair, and my brother got that. Aaand so did BB2K. It was just a little wavy when she was little, but the curls really came in when she hit adolescence. At first, she fought the floof with a straightening iron, but in this humid climate, that's not a battle one can really win. So, she has learned to "go with the 'fro flow." The secrets, apparently, are: use a great conditioner; comb it when it's wet; and then, leave it alone! It's a fun look on her, and she really rocks it with crazy colors like red and/or purple.

Ugh, waiting for yet another snow storm. It is pretty black out there. Supposed to get 3 to 5 inches more. March is tomorrow. Always think, March! It's close to spring time! I have had tulip and daffodil starting to pop up..weeks ago. They are buried in the snow, sleeping a bit longer.

I was born a carrot top with bright red/orange hair, naturally curly. I loved the red hair, hated the curl. The only way to tame it was to wear it either real short or real long. When I was 50 I had it long and wore it in a pony tail most of the time. When my scalp started getting sore, I had 16 inches of hair cut off and dedicated to locks of love. Since then I've worn my hair ultra short and spiky. As for the color, I started graying out when I was in my 40s, mainly to the stress I was under taking care of my parents. For a while I used strawberry blonde Clairol to cover the gray but it started to look to harsh so I switched to an ultra blonde to even everything out. I don't use it consistently. I tend to take spells where I get tired of looking at the gray and cover it up. Then I let it grow out again.

Redheads are actually the product of a mutant gene. Somebody told me that the color will probably be phased out of the human DNA by the end of the century. We are different. We think different, our emotions are different and our personalities are different.

I like it!

I could see having the red color if there are grandkids. DH has reddish facial hair and has turned from dirty blonde to a warm brown...and my grandfather had red on his side.

My hair used to be quite, um...curly but its straightened with time. It's also turned from dark brown to black...but that probably has more to do with the hair dye that falls into it.
Had decided to go platinum...natural, not dyed...but now I'm waffling on whether I should wait until after graduation. (The boy's, not mine) I'm sure I ahould be able to add some black undertones and stripes so it looks cool and hip....lol!

DH is losing his hair and I keep telling him to do the bald thing as well. He rocks scruff and a handlebar on his face. It'll balance everything out.

We've got a bet going on whether the boy goes white or bald. Or maybe both. The boy does not approve....:gig

Oh yes...I WILL be setting ALL the eggs! Fertile eggs that is. I'm only breeding a select few for each hatch! (I'm so sneaky):lau
