The Old Folks Home

I know, but it's more work, especially if I'm doing a copy and paste from another post or website.

I resize all the pictures I post. I save the image to my computer and then crop it. It is a habit from working on websites for years.

Why on Earth people purchase and operate vehicles or death traps such as the one in that pic on the highways is nothing but pure, unadulterated Darwinism. Do these people ever consider head on crashes, especially with semi trucks? This is not a progressive move forward imo. Utter stupidity.
I can see the benefit if you're in a real cruncher. No need for a coffin, just drop the whole thing in the ground.

Will I have to find, make an account, when they move BYC? Or will the link simply take me to the new site?
I had a minor concern that I would have to find my password, which was created when who-knows-what I made it. In our accounts section there is a way to create a new password AND it auto-fills the old one. Yay!

re: medical tests, cancer, etc.

IMHO it is far better to be proactive than reactive, especially if there is family history involved. BUT it is agreed that the tests are only as competent as the techs doing them. My faith in the medical system was shaken several years ago when after a routine EKG (administered 3 times) I was informed that I had had a heart attack and I needed to see a specialist. Huh? What? I had just spent the summer single-handedly packing and moving three houses and was strong as an ox. I felt flummoxed that Stupid Ignorant Me didn't even know I had had a heart attack, and so the next month before I could get in to see the specialist I panicked every time I even burped that I might be having The Big One. Got in to the specialist who informed me that, no, I was healthy and she sure wished my doc had sent over those EKGs. Turns out my doc's office had been hit by lightning and the EKG was fritzed. Swell. I have since changed medical providers.

Well since I am old, hope they do a LARGE PRINT CHEAT SHEET. I HATE MY BIFOCALS.

This is worse than the Y2K , think it was called - the worry was in re: the computers & high tech stuff wouldn't recognize the year 2000 and the world as we knew it would end.

My son was emailing his friends around the world to see what happened in their time zone. Don't blame my influence on that, I didn't know what Y2K was. Could have been WD40 for all I knew.
I remember that all the mechanical things where suppose to up and crash

I am having trouble finding the gardening threads I was following. I guess I will find them sooner or later. hahhaa
I found my threads by clicking on the 'watched threads' button at the top of this screen. scroll up and it's just right of center under the banner.
Hope this helps.
