The Old Folks Home

My internet is currently down. I guess Frontier is experiencing difficulty. Good thing I have a tablet, and a good Data plan.

She's doing good eating and pooping and drinking and it's been 3 days so far on this one hope it makes it
That is good news!

Wow! I get busy for a few days and I'm 20+ pages behind!!! I will read them all (just scanned) soon I promise, but for now I'll just say I hope that summer and Father's Day found you all safe and well.
Hi Runt35 :frow so sorry for your losses, I know it's tough losing the little ones. Have you been able to get any Nutridrench for the little survivor? I've had it be an actual miracle worker for chicks that aren't thriving.
Speaking of chicks, I finally got some picks of my littles. Here they are on their 1 week post hatch. Can't believe how healthy and active these chicks are compared to what I've gotten from other hatcheries.

What I decided to keep are; 3 BO's, 2 BA's, 1 SLW and 1 GLW.

look at the markings on this baby SLW. I'm thinking she's going to be a beauty.

This is my brooder for the first two weeks. (Works up to 4 for weeks for fewer chicks) Works great. Then, if weather permits out, to the new brooder setup in the new coop addition.

Well, we have a SECOND day today with no rain, at least until the heavy storms roll in again around dark, sigh, so I have to get outside and get some finish work done on the project. Yesterday I finally got the paint done on the new side, the old side is getting a fresh coat next. I also got the hardware cloth and the chicken wire up dividing the sides now all I have left is to build the roost and catch board on that side and hang the new sliding door my sweet DH built for me. Cut the hole for the pophole thru the outer wall and hang the door AND we're done!!! Finally! Anyway, back to work, see you all later!
