I'm sorry that was my bad attempt at humor. I saw so many articles about not staring into the sun and how to protect your animals that I just assumed they'd start a bloody sacrificial ritual to a sun or moon god...

Unfortunately they didn't get caught up in the news hysteria and all appears normal outside.

yea we did out last planting for the year going to do may more tires next year
with the ez up hid under it a bit BF looked a bit through welding helmet..

I was driving back from the VA hospital in Shreveport, LA at the peak here. They said we were 75% occluded... From my perspective it could have been a hazy cloud cover... no real darkening to observe. Next one to come 'round will be 2024 and is supposed to start here in east TX and pass right over top of me here. Maybe I'll get excited about that one... Coincidentally, that one will be moving N/NE and exit out of the states over New England.

Now that the elephant is in the room, as the saying goes, I recently gave quite a bit of thought as to what I wanted done with my remains.
