If I had blood coming out of my ear, I'd have gone to the ER immediately, but that's just me. If I were taking all the meds, and not getting anywhere, I be changing ENT specialists.

It took us forever to find a place on the river with acreage. Looked in 5 states and drove thousands of miles searching. Still regret no bath tub here.

I'm not really sure, but I imagine it's rather easier to add a bathtub to an existing property than it is to add a river. I think you made the right choice!

About 2 years or so. I feel like i am losing my hearing. And the problem just keeps coming back.

When I was in the fourth grade my adnoids blocked my Eustachian tubes in both ears. I was deaf for nearly a year before they got the adnoids out and the inner ear started draining again. I do have mild hearing loss in the right ear but can hear normally now.

I also had a constant infection during that year. When I went in for the operation my temp was 100. The Dr. had to force them to admit me for surgery. He said that the fever would not go down until after the operation. He was right about that!

Sounds like me, Cap. Only I take a Zyrtec in the morning and a Singulaire at night along with the Benedryl. I too still have problems. In fact I feel like my chronic sinusitis is flaring up again which will mean a trip to the doc for antibiotics so it doesn't worsen over the winter months when it generally hits me the hardest.

I need to get a flue shot but can't at this point in time. Oh well, hibernation and being a recluse is fun. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

On the bright side if there is one, @CapricornFarm just think of how miserable you would be if you didn't have the ear tube and all that pressure was building up in your inner ear. You would be flat on your back unable to lift your head.

What I've done in the past to get my doctor to at least try something different is say, 'Look if you feel like you are in over your head and don't know what else to do, could you send me to somebody who might be able to help me? Please?' Usually they either try something different or refer me out, either way there is a chance of getting better results.

You guys are great! I feel like i had a group hug.
Going to work up some energy and go out to visit my chickens and guineas. Those guineas are all curious, they like to follow you around. But they have no idea that they need to get out of the way when a vehicle comes. Good thing there is very little traffic here.

The last of the hatches and we're celebrating because we finally got shipped Marans eggs to hatch at high altitudes. It feels close to a miracle!
And, as a curiousity, we have a decidedly brown Marans chick. (Will probably grow up to be French Black Copper, heavy on the copper now in the down)
