The Old Folks Home

ok furnace guy came out and spun me a story that some nozzle eyebally thing that tells if the furnace is running or not was all sooty so the furnace couldn't tell what it was doing so it safetied off. They claim it's unrelated to the previous gillion furnace issues in the past 8 days, which are all suspiciously not related to each other.
Water heater still fubared, still dripping.

Don't feel bad. Bought DH a sirloin steak. Our youngest dog thought it was delicious.:drool That'll teach me to turn my back on him, the dog not the husband.
I had an acquaintence who had a Doberman named Tank.... Now she had a horse training farm nestled in an avocado grove.... Tank was on a Vet recommended diet.... half a cup of chow per day because he was about twenty pounds over weight.... The more he dieted the more weight he gained.... Owner couldnt figure it out so she kept watching Tank all day... He would patrol his yard whcih was about an acre of chainlink... then he would settle under a pine tree and obviously was eating something.... Every time he patroled he would bring back something to eat.

She went and inspected the area and found about a hundred avocado pits.... She watched him disappear behind the barn.... and found a Tank sized hole in the chainlink.... and a trail off into the Avocado trees....

Tank had be come an Avocadotarian.... they are packed with oil. :gig

needless to say she fixed the fence and he was back to his svelt self in no time.

And in case it needed to be said: I am in hell.

And BF sent me a text: I don't think I can handle another ice water bidet

Because it's my fault he had an ice water bidet for a shower this morning.

Great story. I can just picture it. Dobies are some of my favorite K-9s. I've been owned by two in my life. Way too smart for their own good.

The funny thing with our youngest dogs is that this is the second time they have done a hit on my steaks. You would think I would have learned after the first time.

I had this cartoon hanging by my desk at the office:

More truth than fiction to this. I've counted ours doing this more than once. Which is why I put a couple of ounces of bleach in my dish washer when I run it.

@ superchemicalgirl, after seeing Ron's post I remembered some advice somebody gave us a long time ago. They told us. Maybe it's time to clean your hunting rifle while sitting on your front porch, you know, just to keep em off balance and wondering.

Not telling you to do this but maybe it is time to break out the big guns. Drop terms like Better Business Bureau, and tell them you really really want to give them a good on line review but they are making it really really hard.

Any chance you could call in an out of town repair company that you have never used before? We were lucky back in IL. Our furnace repair and plumber were friends and came into our office. All we had to do was call them and they would be there, get the job done fast and reasonable and not jerk us around. I miss that professional degree of service.........
