The Old Folks Home

Fingers crossed for you, deb! :fl

Chicki -- Hate it when that happens. Sometimes the fact we've fallen like a toddler hurts more than the actual fall itself. Note: I said "sometimes." Sorry you thumped and bumped.

LS -- Sounds like someone in your household got an early jump on spreading their own form of holiday cheer. Bummer. Rest well and kick it. Soup, fluids, whiskey & lemon, etc.

Not much happening here. So no news is good news!

Hahaha you probably should get an easy type pen in case you get stung again.
I probably should.
When I was 3 and then again at age 9 I went into anaphylactic shock in the middle of the night. I was rushed to the hospital both times and recovered quickly with the shot.

The cause was never figured out. There is something that I was very allergic too back then. The last time I was stung was from Yellow Jackets I was 14. I try to stay away from hornets and bees. This one was a sneak attack in the middle of Davis. I was on a sidewalk and had shoes on when the wasp came out from under an oleander bush

When i was young my friends and i walked into a nest of them in a bush. We all got stung up pretty badly . Caladryl was applied liberally. I always take a Benadryl right away when i get stung or ant bitten.

When My oldest DD was getting allergy shots, They had liquid allegra that they gave them at the first sign of a reaction. Once she had to get an Epi shot. The Therapy did help her a lot though

Sending positive thoughts your way, Deb.
Dr told me that if stung, immediately take two Benedryl and a Singulair. He said the Singulair had more antihistamine response than any other prescription allergy meds.
Epi Pens......the last time I bought them was over 550$. Thankfully, insurance covered it.
Anybody know what they are priced at currently. About time for me to renew mine.

There is supposed to be a much less expensive version now but you still need a Dr. to prescribe it. Often they will not though because they are used to some the old one
