The Old Folks Home

Wow, they really took their time with you! Sounds like they are on the ball.
My blood pressure was high this morning at the doctor's office, but i ran out of the house without my pills and i am having pain in my knees so no surprise. She didn't even order an xray for my knees. Told me to take ibuprofen, which i was doing. Big help. I will be getting a new doctor in January.

Long day here today also but not nearly on the scale of @perchie.girl's. DH had his second skin cancer treatment. 2 down 1 more to go next month.

Deb, It sounds as though you have a good health care team working on your side. I'm so glad. It feels as though you are in good hands that are getting all their ducks in a row before they do your surgery. That should be very reassuring for you. Hang in there. :hugs

I SUPER dislike your doctor.

Totally unacceptable on the part of the doctor, Cap. My doctor bawls me out when I come into the office limping. He's probably bawl me out the next time I go in because I have a second suspicious nodule on my fingers. I give his blood pressure medicine something to do, :plbb

I agree with @Alaskan. I super dislike your doctor also.

So it is unanimous, she stinks. I mean, it has been a month or so since that fall, it should be getting better. So she does nothing. Even a steroid shot might help. Or PT . Or braces for support. No instruction as to exercise, lifting or anything at all. :tongue

did you put any Ice on it when you did it... or do anything ?
Yeah, i iced them. Took some ibuprofen. Mostly ignored the pain. Once in a while i take half a muscle relaxer if i can't sleep because of it. I am thinking linament or heat at this point. Need to buy a heating pad.

Remember Cap. SHE is working for you, You aren't working for her.

Personally I would go in with a list and not let her leave the room until she has addressed every item on the list should you be stuck seeing her again. If she doesn't, look her straight in the eye and tell her that you will be requesting your records be transferred in the future and then start hunting.

Years ago I made I don't know how many trips to the doctor because of a chronic sinus infection that was absolutely controlling my life. After about the forth trip to the doctor I set down white him and said Doc, I can't go on with this any longer. It's making life miserable for me. If you can't help me get over it once and for all, please refer me to somebody who can help me. He got down to business and finally got the infection under control.

Most doctors want what is best for their patients. Then there are those who are just going through the motions. Sounds as though you got one of the latter group.
