The Old Folks Home

Was hoping for a huge lottery win as a pre Christmas present. Would have made for a VERY merry Christmas for sure, but no such luck. Guess I'll just have to motor on as planned. All my best to y'all and hope your Christmas is filled with happiness! Hope everyone experiences health, happiness and prosperity throughout the coming year.

We got a little over 2 inches of snow right now and it's probably going to be closer to 3 when it ends.

I got to try out my studded snow boots that DH made for me a few months ago and they worked great. Not one slip or slide.

The bantam boys were hysterical in the snow. They came charging out of the coop like always, saw the snow and started flying. They were flying circles around the run trying to find a place to land and finally wound up hanging on the fence. When they gave up and flew down to the snow they just stood there like they didn't know what to do next. I urged them to the coop and they were happy to go back inside.

I couldn't even get the bantams in the big coop to stick their noses out. One stood in the pop door when I opened it, looked around and went back inside.

No adventuresome spirit at all.

A million dollar scratch off was sold in our little town store a couple weeks ago. Still haven't heard who I was.
I buy a ticket or two sometimes for DW when I pick up beer. The winning ticket was a $10 one though so we wouldn't have had a chance at it I never buy the big one's.

morning gang really slept late but darn got sleep finally been like 4 days..
Micro i had a really nice pair of top of the line rubber boots I nabbed at goodwill outlet 39 cents... Moose ate a buckle off the side ? he musta been pretty ticked at me anyways did it to them

I think I found my boots at the Salvation Army about 5 years ago. They were perfect for my 'snow stud' project and so far they are working great.

Spent the afternoon making flock blocks for the birds for Christmas. They don't much like them hanging but when I put them in their 'treat' feeder, the frenzy is on. It never has warmed up here. 22 right now and windy as all get out.
