You are right on about the CBs, Bruce. Much easier to use and you don't have to know the difference between an Amperer, Watt and Volt plus a whole lot of math that my anti-math prone brain is trying to spit out at me like it was a mouthful of sour milk.

Why is retiring like 6 Saturdays followed by a Sunday? Because a lot of people work Mon-Fri and have the weekend off. When you retire, everyday is a weekend....except for Thursday which isn't Thursday any more but Garbageday. Oh wait! Then there is Friday which isn't Friday any longer but 'Ancient Alien-day' on TV.

Lost another chicken today and this one has mites! Soooo i dusted everyone and ordered spray for the coop. Always something with chickens. I need to put a medicine cabinet in my feed area!

Sorry you lost another one darn, I have a med kit in the sewing room but moving the big birds to the main coop I can put it in the new one now... I do have the hen that came to visit a year and 1/2 or so seems to have issues in the neck now not wry quite but not right

I'm a bit clueless here. I know CB was big some years back. Is there much in the way of CB traffic anymore?

I looked at pictures of the 49er. Yep nothing stable about that boat, way over canvased and lacking in ballast. Definitely one for the young, strong and agile.

I hear them still sometimes, more populated areas. Sounds like old timers on base stations. Don't hear anyone on anywhere otherwise. Truck drivers just use their smart phones and listen to SiriusXM radio.

Same here, I actually have it in my computer's calendar with an alert. I HAVE forgotten before. Nothing like hearing the truck coming and you don't have the receptacles out.

DW works M-Sat. DD2's schedule is all over the place. This week and last week she had Monday and Tuesday off. Next week it is Tuesday and Saturday. Sure can't use HER schedule for a clue as to what day it is.

We take our garbage to the dump local garbage Dad was good guy reasonable rates Dad passed kids have it both spoiled brats yup know em Ma did their old man's books and taxes for 40 years ... I refuse to pay 50 a month for garbage they charge for recycle even .. we take it ourselves ever other month we burn most so it is kitty litter and recycle like 12.00 every other month
