The Old Folks Home

We are learning how to make pasta.

Love it!!! Awesome!!!
DW got me, us, me and the girls a pasta machine for Christmas.
Before Christmas they said it was a present I'd really like. We don't bother with gifts for us, all about the kids, so I was pretty bothered by the fact they said I would love it... (so I dug around and peeked like a little kid..lol) Wow!! A pasta machine!!!!!
They fight over who will help, we get those suckers six, eight feet long.
Our little one's love watching the kids on food network , have a lot of fun making 'gourmet meals'
My brother says he's on the Keto diet, .
I got a pasta machine :tongue

We love it! That was our first time, after watching innumerable YouTube videos, and they turned out so good. We made egg noodles and tossed them in ranch and crumbled bacon. Delish!
Ours has the ravioli maker. Looks easy on YouTube , a lot of fails with it. Maybe the pastas too thick, maybe too thin?... easier making the sheets and raviolis by hand.
Last time we gave it a whirl we put the ravioli sheets on a baking pan and froze them first before breaking them up, success!!

Morning everyone

-28 F without the windchill  Poor pup had to pee when it was actually colder. Never seen her do her "business" while never stop moving, poor old lady :hugs such a good girl.
Thank you Lord! No frozen well, no loss of power. 35o at roost level in the coop but must be pretty "crispy" at floor level because I couldn't see anyone down from their perches. In the house all feet off the floor, pup and kitty on my lap DH just stumbled out, grabbed his cuppa and right into the recliner. No snow to worry about shoveling, the heavy stuff all staying well to our south again. Crazy winter.

I refuse to comment on the native american situation here. This is Wisconsin after all. Let's just say absolutely no worries about their treaties, compacts or privileges. From what I understand we have more different tribes and bands than any other state.

I guess we qualify as a farm, sort of. Enough land anyway, sort of. We have 65 paid for acres but only 20 or so is high and dry all the time. The rest is either flood plain for the creek that flows thru our back forty or springs popping out of the ground flooding the woods during wet years.

Ok, I give up for now, kitty has decided the warmest place in the house is my keyboard and just planted his butt on it!!!
