The Old Folks Home

Ooops, sorry guys  TMI. Didn't mean to get so "chatty". Guess I need to stay away from my keyboard when I've had too much coffee and get bored.
I sincerely apologize to you Perchie, didn't mean to sound like I was trying to "one up" your very real suffering. Just thought that you being a horse person too you would get a kick out of some of my less than stellar escapades. (an aparently lame attempt to cheer you up)
I really didn't mean to offend anyone.
It didn't look like you were really trying to "one up" her, it's just what horse people do. Me, I've been bucked off, had horses bolt out from under me like I was in a cartoon (looking down going "Where did my horse go?!?" before hitting the ground), been kicked a few times, the worst kick was by my stallion who was a baby at the time, he got bit by a horsefly just as he turned his rump to me to go in his stall and kicked out, tossed me about 2 feet backwards into a wall and broke my collarbone. One of my friends got a concussion from one of my horses because he reared up and slammed his head into hers... Injuries are just a fact of life around animals that are that big... That said, I have just as many scars and stories about my life with housecats... and they aren't 1,000 pounds each...

sigh.... Never been married.... Never been asked.... not waiting for prince charming.... dont exist for me.
We actually got married for insurance reasons. We were perfectly happy "living in sin" but he couldn't find a good job that had decent insurance because he was "overqualified" so we got married so he could be on mine at work. He is diabetic and just one of his medications is over $1,000 a month without insurance, I could put him on my insurance for about $65 a month, it was just the sensible thing to do.

I hate to hear that you ladies have gone through all of that. I got married a little more than two years ago to someone considerably younger. Has it been bliss? Not all the time...... actually not most of the time. But it has been getting much better.
My DW has started her own business and I back her as much as possible......I want her to be able to realise her dream. I'm trying to make mine happen, but it's not going to be easy. I guess what's kinda scary is that neither of us has insurance....and I am 50. On the positive side doctors have said I'm in amazingly good health.
Enough about me. Is anyone doing a garden ?

Oh no Perchie! Don't say that, you'll make me cry.:hugs:hit

I used to think that then my sweetie found me. I was 52 years old when we met in 2005. He asked me to marry him in 2006. Found my engagement ring in my birthday card and we were married 9 months later. I did think I would ever find my my prince charming....but he found me so you never know when it might happen. So don't ever give up.
:hithappy tears :lovethat's so sweet

I've been married twice, and will NEVER do that again! They say third time's a charm... a third time would probably put me in my grave... no thanks. :tongue Besides, this way I get to flirt when I have a mind to and not get in trouble ;) Marriage for me has been vastly over rated.
When hubby & I have a tiff he says the same thing, kinda. If the thirds a charm I should married a box of friggin Lucky Charms :gig
