The Old Folks Home

Wow, sorry all you folks are having winter stuff. Yesterday was almost 80 and sunny (finally) and today the cold front has passed and the high was 65 (but pretty windy). They say 55 for a high tomorrow with night at 32 then climbing back up to mid 70s by the weekend. The nice thing is NO RAIN forecast till at least Saturday :ya

Today I got back to fencing... still very wet and it really sucks post hole digging in wet iron ore clay. 3' holes and they had water filling the bottom. Dropped one post in and it splashed straight up and got me. Then dragged out the lawn tractor and mowed down the weeds that were growing rampant. Even after several decent days with sun and air movement, it was still a quagmire in places. I know I packed the mower deck with wet green mush. :(

Tomorrow it's back to fencing again.
If you get bored doing your fence, you can come work on mine! Only 13 acres to do!

Ron, I feel the same way about people moving things. I told the lady on the phone to have the guy bring help to unload the cabinets and bring them in the house. I told her I don't want them banged up.

Beer can I hope so!

Ls how nice your getting some fencing done and nice weather.

We may wind up having to wait another week to install the cabinets and do the plumbing.
We are going to get rained out all weekend. :he

I guess I am supposed to watch their every move when mom's at work
I believe that is the original reason straight jackets were invented.

Um, cabinets to be delivered INTO the house tomorrow (Wed) right? Sink will be in the house right? And plumbers can work in the house right? So what's a little rain OUTSIDE?

Tomorrow I get my teeth cleaned. Thursday I get up early and blow the expected 5" of snow so DW and DD2 can go to their respective work locations. DD will be leaving by 6 AM (and hopefully staying on the road this time!). Then I can blow again later in the day. If I'm lucky I won't have to get up early on Friday as well but at this point I'm not holding my breath.

We wound up with just a dusting of snow. I don't think the bantams ventured outside all day and one standard was out. Smart birds. It was just windy and nasty all day but at least not 16+inches of snow like some of you are having.

Stay safe everyone.

Chicka, glad you are getting your cabinet squared away. Just keep telling yourself how nice it is going to look when you get it done.

We have to replace the sub-floor from the leak damage. So we will have to cut a 8x8 beam and the 2x4 studs that are rotten. And replace the plumbing under the floor before we can put the sink together. It would be hard to cut all the lumber in the rain.
So there is a lot more going into this than just the sink.

I can hardly wait. :wee But the stress is causing me to have very bad anxiety.
Knowing what all has to come out before the new can go in.
