The Old Folks Home

Thanks Chicka. I have a couple new nets on hand but probably won't be enough.

I was planning to replace a couple of nets this spring. Mother nature is just hurrying me along a bit. My runs are big and irregularly shaped so it is always a challenge. I would love to put up the two inch chicken wire and could probably do it in two runs but the big run is pretty much a nightmare to cover and has to be pieced in.

May have to reshape it. But that is the joy of kennel panels. ;)

Micro sorry about the nets. I wish you lived closer. I would tell you to come take all you want from my runs.
We are going g to have to take them down at some point.

Enjoy the movie Scg.

The cold front has moved in behind the rain.
Our power is off while the guys are running wire for my kitchen plugs.
They had to take one of my wall cabinets out to get to the wire. The only plug on that wall has been hid in that wall cabinet since the kitchen was added on for a washer. They are moving that plug down and tying into that line to run a plug on the other side of the sink.
I hope they get it done soon so I can eat. I have not eaten since noon yesterday.
Someone needs to get you some food!

was busy this morning(11:18 am here). I crawled up through the rafters in the lower attic to adjust the gable fan temperature. It was coming on at too low of a temperature. Last summer it ran nearly 24 hours a day. It was back on this week when the outside temp was only 60F. I bumped it up 20 degrees on the thermostat. I will watch it but I really do not want to go back up there.

Then I decided to level the stove. I did that when the floor was installed. It turns out that when the back splash was installed they messed up the level and left a bunch of broken ceramic pieces under the stove.

It is sad when people that do not care about cooking do stuff like that! No wonder my cakes have not cooked level...

Much better now but I need to rest

Micro we put posts down the center of each run and put an aluminum rail on top to support the welded wire across the top. It worked great. We just used the same welded wire as the pens were made of.

Ron dhjust turned the power back on long enough for me to heat a frozen sandwich! Yeah!

It is getting time for lunch here too

It’s so grey outside today. Makes me feel drowsy no matter how many cups of coffee I drink. Even the roosters are quiet. The ducks love this yucky weather. My yard is one big mud puddle and the ducks are in heaven. And why can’t they lay their eggs in normal places? I find them everywhere. It’s like they’re just walking across the yard and oops, an egg fell out of me, I’ll just leave it right here. I put a bale of hay in the coop under the nest boxes so I can refill them easier and yesterday found duck eggs buried behind it. So there I was this morning, on my knees in the coop, digging around in the hay behind the bale with ducks biting at my boots. Those are OUR eggs! Yeah? You didn’t worry about them when they were laying all over the yard.

Fit bit has a great free website. I bought the one that hangs around your neck... longish and has several functions.

Website once you put in your statistics Height weight age... Gender. It will give you how many calories you need to just maintain.... Then it gives you how many calories you burn just to maintain.. Then it shows how many calories you burned just by activity during the day based on your steps.. and compares them.

And it has a great food catalog.

DH has the wrist fit bit. I'm usually up late & can tell when I'm being too loud, because the little green light goes off. He never acknowledges that I'm disturbing his sleep, but that fit bit doesn't miss a thing.

Got the top done for my Veterans PTSD charity done. Someone has volunteered to quilt it, so I don't have to do that part of it. It's sitting on top of the backing, so it does look a little weird and uneven (wanted to make sure I had enough overlap before I declared I was done).

The quilt will be auctioned off, with the proceeds to the PTSD treatment program.

Ok, headed off to work. Y'all have a fantastic day. The dog is still snoring, now in front of the stove on her bed... she slept most of the day yesterday after our walk, woke up for about an hour last night to play with a squeaky toy, then snored on the bathroom rug all night until I forced her to get up at 0500 to do the chores with me.

A tired puppy is a happy momma.

I bet she's going to want to do the 4+ mile walk again this afternoon.

 Oh wow! That's AWESOME!!! :bow:love
