5.00 for a dozen eggs. Yikes!

I have 9 dozen on hand right now. Silly birds gave me two dozen eggs today. I want to hug each and every one of them! Even the randy bantam boys.

I don't sell my girl's eggs. I pay it forward and pass on blessings. We give the eggs to our UPS and FedX delivery men and to our garbage man. I give them to the owner of the local lumber yard who makes pickled eggs out of them and to our neighbors who don't have chickens. Basically to anyone who wants them or needs them. Nobody pays.I won't let them. I tell them we have been blessed and I am passing on the blessings.

We had to go get some building materials for the kitchen today. And we stopped at the Piggly Wiggly in town on the way home to get some eggs. They cost us 5.35 plus tax for 5.89 for 18 eggs! I still can't get over that! We will never buy eggs in this town again!

I hate buying eggs, and feeding chickens. Soo glad mine are laying now. $1.65 a dz at Aldi's, was getting Eggland's Best at our local grocery on sale cheaper than the store's cheap generic brand, more $ than Aldi's but cheaper then all the others. So many people selling farm raised eggs around here, some even in store's, I don't think the big companies can compete like they were before.
Still, buying eggs while forking over $$ for chicken feed for no eggs is crappy.
There is three 18packs of our eggs in the fridge right now, woohoo!

Don't know why, but I so bad wanted to stop by a Piggly Wiggly, and a Winn Dixie when we go south, offered the kids a reward if they spotted one. Wanted a couple grocery bags with their name on it to hang in my garage.
They spotted one, didn't stop, don't remember if it was on the way up or down, I had the hammer down, hate that drive, I don't know how people do it. I either want to get there, or get home, driving for hrs and hrs and hrs....
Piggly wiggly that just cracks me up! Lol, and Winn Dixie, ever watch that movie? Because of Winn-Dixie? My older minions loved it.
