Don't drink coffee in California though, their coffee causes cancer now :gig
Think I'll have another cup :)

The way the CA regulations and protocols work is the product is guilty until proven innocent. So someone has to prove the chemical theory there isn't correct or accurate.

Still not a big enough deterrent to get most to give it up. I don't think Starbucks stock went down or was affected any over this announcement.

There is a 1986 labeling law in CA that warns of cancer risk associated with about 900 chemicals. Coffee has acrylamide in it so the label is for it. acrylamide is also in French fries and a lot of breakfast cereal along with many toasted foods.

We see so many of these labels that we do not pay much attention to it!

:lau:yuckyuck I gots to get us those mugs!

I just came in from doing a rousing game of musical roosters. Good thing I love roosters cause they were 'this' close to me opening the gates and telling them to run free like the wind!

This rooster, and moth eaten Trey. Who I've come to call Little S... well you can fill in the blanks, have taken over the flock so I had to put the really big roosters that they were beating up on at the end of the run and fence off so the hens weren't getting more stressed than they are. Calming down that flock, I went on to the bantam coop and saw that Barney, the rooster with the eye injury was almost back to normal and the other roosters were trying to teach him that the worst was yet ot come. Finally resorted to picking him up and plopping him down with Godzilla and company. No problems, they all know one another.

On the bright side, if you want to call it that I have a second first time broody who actually seems to be sincere about her intentions. I found her sitting on 8 eggs last night and gifted me with a resounding broody screech when I took them away from her but styed on the nest. I gave her three ceramic eggs to drool over. She was still on them this morning. Got off and ran around the run for a few minutes and went right back to her eggs. May giver her three BBR eggs tomorrow. Seems good luck to start a broody on eggs on Easter Sunday.

@CapricornFarm. Good luck on the build.

@Peep_Show congratulations on the new chicks!

@Beercan Belated happy birthday! May you live long and prosper!

He looks so innocent!

I'm down to 13 eggs in out of three dozen, I didn't think the odds that they were fertile was good. Almost all from the NN rooster that the hens were beating up are good, only one from JG who got along with his new girls but got frostbit feet, and only one of the first eggs I grabbed labeled IDK cause I forgot I was going to keep them separate. I didn't set them till the 12th, so will be a couple more days.
how bad are his feet? :hide I hate that.

Two winters back my muscovy males got frostbitten feet... they get around fine ... but they can't breed.

Happy belated birthday misty. Mine was Thur, but had yesterday off so was supposed to have cake and ice cream (I could care less, but the kids wanted to). DW and the kids made the cake, put it in the oven, and no worky... Electric igniter element went bad, and you cant start it with a match cause no propane will come out if the element isn't on...
Soo, off to town to pick up a cake, might as well get a couple pizzas too.
Took the cake batter this morn and made the kids chocolate cake waffles for breakfast, cake batter makes great waffles.

Oh, and happy belated birthday!!!

glad the stove part doesn't cost much.
