I have nothing but my iPhone. Just did a perimeter walk. Babies are safe in their little coop. Something, (most likely a possum) raided the eggs in the main coop, but trap hasn’t been disturbed. Big piglets (six months old) were sleeping in their favorite hole. They’re spending a few weeks in the big garden, weeding and tilling. The fence is hot wired. Mama pig was feeding her litter. Fat little things are so cute. My remaining hens are screened into the stall across from Ariel (mama pig) where my barred rock rooster has been living with his two favorite hens because he couldn’t get along with Lemoncello, the EE rooster I was keeping to breed with my EE girls, but who was one of the casualties from last night. The hens seem calm and a couple even gave me little sleepy thrills. Big Pumba and Princess were both asleep in the pig yard. If anything big had come in the yard all of the pigs would have been on alert. I’ll check again after a nap.

I told him they're not experts.

If they are a pool store they SHOULD be experts!

I reminded him I could not run water, let alone add soaps to the septic system for 2 days.

That would sort of make it difficult.

I have to question your leach field though. Just how much water are you draining off that your septic tank backs up into the house? If taking extra water off the pool does it, I would guess a good rain might as well. Maybe the field is already saturated from the rain? Sounds like the leach field might be either inadequate or failing. Good idea to not add any water to it unnecessarily!

bruce, just because someone is highly trained to sell products does not always make them an expert. Here's the thing though. They handle both private, and commercial accounts. They KNOW there is a huge distinction in the levels they are recommending for stabilizer between the two types of accounts, but continue to use the double standard to sell more to the private owners, because it's still legal, and makes more money for them.

Anyway, after hearing about all the idiots er customers talking about draining their excess pool water into their septic tank drain fields, I'm starting to get a much better picture of how they are able to dupe their customers.

I think I would be looking for a different pool store. Maybe an honest one. I go to a store that is family owned, has been for 40 years. I trust them not to screw me.

My ex and I owned the last family owned pool store in this area, and we shut it down about 19 years ago. That's what kills me. Dh keeps telling me that my information is out of date. The thing is, my info is current, since we own a pool. It's going to be fine. He does, and will learn. Especially when it starts costing him more money.
