The Old Folks Home

I'm about to cry. NONE of the eggs hatched. I just opened them. NONE of them even finished developing out. It looks like they all stopped developing at different stages, between days 7 - 10 days, if that much. I guess they were simply too scrambled, and the air sac too damaged on them to allow full development. Like I said, I never saw proper veining when I candled them. Even the one that was cracked and had quit, that I did the eggtopsy on, had veining very close to what was trying to develop, but no veining in the membrane, like it should have. I gambled, and totally lost.
I'm so sorry:hugs

Just got home! Test is done!

I ACED it again!:wee:celebrate:ya:wee:celebrate

I am officially KE0QFR/AG until my FCC recognition goes into affect.I have to admit that I never expected to pass it with a 100% score. The material is far more technical than the Technician class but in some ways I found it easier. I know the last four days has been spent submerged in two technical manuals and one after another practice tests.

My brains hurt.

When they told me I had scored 100% and congratulated me, I looked back at my husband and asked him if I could have my pony now!

He said sure? Should I hold him to it?
Awesome way to go amazing:yesss::clap:wee:love:hugs:frow

Good night and sweet dreams everyone:hugs:frow

I saw a wild hen turkey today on our way to Kirksville. She was casually strolling down the railroad track levee like she was out for a Sunday stroll. Didn't even take wing when we drove by. Kinda a good omen.

I have to admit that I love turkeys. Nobody hunts them on our property. While I'm dead set on getting Guineas next year (got it all planned out. A member of our Radio Club orders chicks every year from M McM. When he orders, I order keets and a few Fayoumis and split the shipping with him..great plan!) Maybe I could go for a couple of turkey chicks, also.....I'm probably pushing my luck, especially in light of the pony demand, LOL.
I love seeing turkeys of any kind! Mine like to follow me around. If i have been inside or off somewhere, if they see me they come running! Even hubby seems to like them.

Still not sure if I am up to being a regular again....

sorry, I didn't read what I missed. hugs and well wishes to the lot of ya'll.

but I wanted to share a few photos. ..

I can't remember if I already showed the best ones from the funeral.

Right after my dad was brought to the church, kid 1 and 3 about to take the lid off of the coffin.

Where my dad was buried, after everything was done. Kid 1 sitting, and kid 4 standing, looking at the closed grave covered in flowers, sunset.

And then a week later we flew up to Portland,Oregon and eldest was tonsured a sub-deacon by the Metropolitan. Huge deal.

Here the Metropolitan is putting the vestments (fancy clothes ) on my kid. It was done at a Conference / convention for our church, so the church was set up in a ballroom, lots of people , services every day. All of that kind of stuff in a huge hotel.

That hotel must have been all kinds of dusty because both spouse and I cried. My mom didn't! :old

Dh and I are trying to figure out what to do for a supplemental ins. policy when he retires. Medicare charges so much for each policy that he dr. Oes k ow know if he'll be able to retire.
What are ya'll doing for a supplemental ins for Medicare part A and B?

I wouldn't know, but it would be good to know.. I am now also in the Veterans Choice program, I pick a dr or clinic near me and the VA will approve them.. Then I'd go there and the VA picks up the bill.. However, this is something I've used once.. I drive to the VA hospital in Tampa..
