The Old Folks Home

We thought we knew 'who' we were too. Little did I know that the 'German' also carried Spanish/Portugese and that the Scottish was high % Scandinavian , and the Princess sure as heck did not know that in addition to Polish/Hungarian she was also Jewish/Nigerian.

Grandson had a DNA evaluation prior to us, and we laughed about his Nigerian DNA and how it had to be a mistake. Apparently not.

I also showed low/inconclusive Native American, but no idea how that may have happened as my parents were first generation from their families born in the USA.
ah but Native Americans Traveled to Europe... I believe France.

Ghee is very good! Costco sells a large jar of it
made it from two pounds of sweet butter.... Its easy You let it simmer till the solids fall to the bottom and foam forms on top The old way is to skim... the one I learned on Youtube is to watch for a second foaming... then watch for the solids on the bottom to brown just a little. Once it browns... turn it off and ladle everthing through Cheese cloth or a coffee filter...

You loose very little of the butter in the process. I think I lost maybe fifteen percent in cookin... Didnt count the amount I spilled on the counter after the container I had showed it had a hole in it....:rant But I now have it in a nice container on the shelf...
Cost about the price of two pounds of butter on sale.
