The good thing about it is that it's just about 100% virus proof.

I don't think anything is virus proof. It is just that the vast majority of people use Windows so hackers spend there time where they can get the most bang.

Thanks Ya'll. I just looked at Apple's website and they have external storage devices starting at 65. I am still trying to figure out how all this Apple stuff is going to work. lol

You don't need to use an Apple device for backup, just find one that says it supports both Windows and Mac. BTW, I had a Seagate external drive. Crapped out in about a year.

Most people use the icloud backup that I posted a link to. It will automatically backup to it and then restore on a new ipad when you get a new one.

I, personally, have NO desire for my stuff to be up on someone's server "in the sky".
