The Old Folks Home

Old fashioned car jack, and something to hook onto the post. That's what Dh did, and it worked.
There you go! If you can find a old style bumper jack. TSC has 'handymans', but dang, one of those bumper jacks would work just as good for that.
I'd like to have one of those pullers but don't like spending $.
@Latestarter , I move my run with t-posts quite often, sometimes pull up easy, sometimes holy crap must catch a boulder. Wriggle/wiggle, bend and pull, ...
I now just use a crowbar with the sledge hammer I use to pound them in, to pry down (up) on on the bumps . Only goes up a inch or so at a time but easy. Pry pry pry, up up up, gets past the hard spot pretty easy.

I miss chasing the cattle with the tractor old Ford same as all the trucks we drove
sorry vote Ford here
Ford doesn't make tractors anymore. I'm a big fan of the old Ford tractors, tons of 8ns, 600s,800s, 3000s+ still in full use around here.
New Holland came out with the Ford Boomer 8N 4x4 yrs ago, dang nice classic looking little tractor, don't think they made them very long though.

Just was on a thread where a person moved from PA to texas. The hens have stopped laying and one died today. The person gave more information and....no chicken feed is given to the flock! They only get to free range and eat "grain" which usually is cracked corn. The hens have not laid eggs in 4 weeks!

The flock is 5 hens. Why do people do this? The Egg farmer I was working with did this in the winter. His hens did not start laying for quite some time in the spring.
My dad did this with no probs....but we know better now, and why? Five birds..wow.
I see every winter, people thinking they have to feed their birds extra corn for a treat and keep them warm... Yo, ever look at the ingredients in your layer feed? Lot's of corn in there, they don't need extra, pretty sure they don't. .. My birds get fat and I don't feed treats, except for vegetables like kale.
I posted this before, how much better Native American corn is healthier, still researching. My painted mountain corn in the garden 14-15% protein? doing great.
Not a good comparison cause it's whole vs degermed, so ??

I loved ours... I think it was a '74.

Did have to be plugged in when it got real cold... but all diesels do.
Actually they put electric elements in them now, turn the key 1 stop and wait about 15 seconds for the dash indicator to go off and it starts right up, on even the coldest days up here.

"bruceha2000, Probably doesn't shove them through rock any easier though but sure could help with gravel and stones that the post can displace."

Soil here is a mix of heavy clay thickly interspersed with jagged rocks that vary in size from tiny to Cooper Mini. Unless you are unlucky enough to land right on a big rock, the bucket shoves them right in. When we started we used a post pounder, oh my was that too much work.
