It is good that she found friends!When my grandmother hit her late 80's she came back from a friend's funeral, and said that was the last of her lifelong friends. She outlived them all, and felt all alone friend-wise. I suggested her Sunday School group as a source of new friends. They were ok, but it wasn't the same. No common interests. Not too long after that, she started quilting again, and met with the local quilting group. Once again, she had a social life.
Those mentioning that funerals seem to be more of a common occurrence the older you get, it's true.
