The Old Folks Home

I wash on Warm rinse on cold and dry on Super... Anything that doesnt survive doesnt belong in my life.

Same goes for folding... or sorting.... If I need something to look nice for an appointment It gets pulled out and hung up...

So far most of the things that I have had go through the were "delicate" made it just fine....

1mutts, there is an ongoing battle between me, and Dh over his clothes. He piles them in a corner of the room. There is no reason for him not to walk them out to the laundry. He doesn't have to sort them, wash them, or fold them. All he has to do is carry them out. He goes to the restroom, then back out to the garage at least twice a day, passing the laundry. There is no reason he can't carry them to the laundry. Instead, he piles them up, and complains I don't ever wash clothes. When it gets to the point he has no clothes, he tosses them all in the laundry, and expects them done immediately. I make him wait a couple days, since it took him forever to get them out there. I'm not good with "froggy jump" scenarios. This has been ongoing for years, so we've both pretty much learned to live with it. When I vacuum, I kick them under the bed, toss them in his bathtub, etc. Hey, if it matters to him, he can deal with correctly.
Mine washes his own. My sons also learned how to do their own laundry while they were in Jr. High. (I had hoped it would earn me good points with future DILs.)

I'm not allowed near the washing machine ever since I 'accidentally' washed some white underwear with a new red flannel shirt. :idunno
Oops.

Our local fire department had a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony this evening.
Things like this make me truly thankful for our wonderful little town and all the folks that make it the great community that it is.

Good morning everyone. I'm feeling better this morning. Thank goodness. One of my melds makes me very sick if I don't eat enough food before I take it. But it's difficult trying to lose weight and eat something at 7 pm and go to bed by 9. I'm finally losing weight again. And lost 19 lbs.
still need to lose another 10 or so lbs.

The only thing I completely dry is towels. Dh will do laundry if it needs it when I'm sick and he's good at it. He was a single dad for many years so he had to learn.

Morning all!

19# You ROCK @chickadoodles! Trust me I know how hard that is to do. Those last ten pounds just don't want to go away without a fight. I got on the scale on Sunday and saw that I'd lost a total of 17 pounds to date. 8 more to go but those 8 pounds just don't want to budge. Guess I'm going to have to cut back on my one big treat, low fat ice cream and see what happens.

Doc once told me that when you get down to 5 or 10 more pounds to loose your body shifts gears and tells your metabolism to slow down because it doesn't want you to loose that last bit of weight. He said it's harder to loose 10 pounds than it is to loose 50 and man I believe it.

I don't even own a dryer. DH wanted to buy me one and I told him not to. A) they are energy hogs and B) I like to line dry clothing until winter gets around to sitting on our heads. Then I just hang things up and either put them on the shower rod or in our shop to dry. Cheats the power company out of cash that way, LOL. Plus no wrinkles!
