The Old Folks Home

Great work!

I always wonder if any of the stones you put back up are people that I am descended from. My mom's side came to the US just a few years after the Mayflower. ... up there in New England.

Either way though... I love seeing the stones that you fix up.
Same here, 20yrs after pilgrims landed my dad's side had a house in 'New Amsterdam'.

Doesn't work Cap, I've tried it with cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc. I just take them out and eat them frozen - honestly.

Ever see those Pepperidge Farm cakes in the freezer(Grocery store). I cut them in 4 parts- eat one part. Put back in freezer, and so on generally finishing them in an hour. Things in the freezer call to me and I have to respond.

49.5F here (Sun. 1:37 am) haven't put the furnace on yet. Man just checked it out the other day and replaced filter and the one in the humidifier. Trying to tough it out since the A/C was running for so very many days this summer.

Been sleeping in my LLBean fleece lined flannel shirts already. I think I have 6 now 2 with hoods, the rest without.

Cold here too, dang, teeth chattering, see my breath, outside, 40*. Building a whizbang style apple press out in the garage, almost done.

Cold here too.. not that cold... ranging between 40s and low 50s at noon-ish.... but it has been damp.

I find the damp makes the cold ooze into my bones. :old

Friday night I went to bed fully clothed. FULLY.

Long sleeve long John top, fleece shirt, fleece jacket, long John bottoms, fleece lined carhartts, good wool socks... I was warm enough to take off my hat.

It wasn't that cold... I think I just got chilled... sleeping "normal" tonight.

I have that same problem. I had read the dirt tip that you should hide your cookies, etc. in the freezer to keep from eating them. So I tried it.Nope. I knew they were there. They called to me to get them out of there, so I did. One, two, three or more at a time. I had no idea they were so good when they were frozen.

But did they live up in the Augusta/Bangor area of Maine?

Love to see that.
