The Old Folks Home

Does sound gross.
Yeah... only happened a few times growing up... not sure why there were so many in the boom years.

But you would hear this constant rain... of POOP. Caterpillars pooping by the thousands!

And when they were fat and juicy they would leave the trees slowly by means of long silk threads that lowered them to the ground... so looking through the woods, ALL of the dangling swinging caterpillars at different heights.

Then when they got to the ground they would move about in a carpet trying to find a place to crawl up and make a cocoon. We would have to sweep them out of the way to open the door... and we still made a squishy trail. :sick

dsq, beautiful pics.

Our bank does the PIN, but when Dh set it up, it asked 15 questions. To log in, you put the PIN, then a pop up asks one of the 15 questions. 3 wrong answers, and it freezes the account. So sorry anyone has to go through ID theft. At least it's somewhat easier to deal with now, than it used to be. My parents got hacked years ago, and it was awful to deal with.

DSQ those pics are gorgeous. All those wonderful rocks...yes I am a rock hound.

Spent the day dropping a large dead tree near our fence edge. Neighbor volunteered to help us as he needed wood. So we gave him over half and are keeping the huge trunk, about 30 feel and a good 3 foot across for next years firewood. That weed is rock hard and frankly, we are both exhausted. Neighbor is over 10 years younger than we are and worked circles around us, LOL. We have about another day's worth of work on in. But it was great having help with the job..
